The students at Woodmen Hills Elementary School raised $467.84 for the Pikes Peak Library District. Students were asked to bring donations to support the future PPLD branch to be located in Falcon. The collected funds were accepted by Stacey Smith, children’s librarian at the Union Library Branch. Karen Kamla, the library media specialist at WHES, was very proud of the students. “I think the amount of participation in this endeavor indicates that the parents and students of WHES are very excited to have a library in Falcon. The parents here have always supported our school library. I believe it is important for these young citizens to invest in their own future,” Kamla said.
