Woodmen Hills board meeting wrap up

The Woodmen Hills Metropolitan District board of directors met in January to discuss a full agenda. Lynne Bliss, board president, and Frank Gonzalez, board director, were absent but excused.The board unanimously approved the following action items:

  • A resolution to participate in the district election and appointment of Connie Goodwin as the designated election official
  • A resolution approving the districtís banking transactions
  • A resolution approving a tank easement site
  • A resolution accepting the district infrastructure
Tabitha Barile, interim parks and recreation director, said the park benches at the gazebo near the Community Center West and in Balcon Park have been continually vandalized and asked the board to respond. Barile said video recordings could reveal those involved.Gene Cozzolino, water/wastewater director, said construction on the flood-damaged area near Rio Secco Road started Jan. 25 and is being funded by grant money. The construction will be completed by May 31.The next regular meeting of the WHMD is Feb. 28 at 6:30 p.m. in the Community Center West.
