Overoxidation of the water supply provided by the Falcon Highlands Metropolitan District tinted the water at The Gables community. The pink tinting, which occurred during the week of Sept. 6, lasted for a few days.Greg Timm, FHMD president, said the water lines were completely flushed to remedy the problem. “From a health standpoint, it’s not necessary. We did it for the comfort of the neighborhood,” he said.A letter was sent to residents of The Gables after the incident to explain the situation and stress there were no health risks involved with the overoxidation.
