WATER ISSUES IN ELLICOTT NEED YOUR SUPPORT

Fellow citizens,My name is Marilan Luttrell, and I own a very small farm in Ellicott, where, like some of you, we raise our own meats, milk, veggies and eggs for our family use. I am currently leading the group, Colorado Citizens for Property Rights (a nonprofit LLC), through a hearing process against Cherokee Metropolitan Water District’s application for water rights in the eastern El Paso County area. We are concerned citizens who want to be sure that when water rights are in question the public and property owners are aware of their rights and their ability to question what happens to their water. In order to do this, we are in need of funds to help with obtaining legal council. We have an excellent attorney willing to represent us. By retaining this expert water attorney, we hope to examine this issue to the fullest extent of the law. We wish to ask for donations to be made to Colorado Citizens for Property Rights. You can do so at any of the three Farmers State Banks in our areas. This will assist us in paying for legal council. For more information on our cause and updates on meetings and the process, feel free to e-mail me at MLGH0222@aol.com.Marilan LuttrellEllicott
