Members of the El Paso County Fair Wagon Train Committee met June 1 to determine a cross-country route from the Simla/Ramah area to Calhan for the wagon train. The 2008 El Paso County wagon train supports the El Paso County Fair, which celebrates the history and heritage of the settlers that founded the west. It will take place on July 20, leaving from a designated location (TBD) and arriving at the El Paso County Fair at around 5 p.m. The wagon train will be part of the opening ceremony to the ranch rodeo and will include a dinner and dance with the Shiloh River Band in the entertainment tent.
