The Falcon High School Wind Ensemble represented the school in the state competition at Colorado State University on April 22.The group chose to play two dissimilar numbers: Rossini’s famous “William Tell Overture” and a contemporary piece, “Don Ricardo,” by Gabriel Musella. James Divine, in his third year with the group, directs the ensemble. At practice the day before the performance, Divine expressed his pride with the group, telling them, “You are already good. I just want you to be the best you can be.”Divine said the group was rated “good” for their performance at the competition, adding, “I am very pleased with how we did going for the first time.”
