This trio of twirlers we have been following the past two months won the United States Twirlers Association central region competition in Hutchinson, Kansas on June 9: from left to right; Jazsmyn Santistevan, Elle Koenke and Ashlyn Koenke.Pam Kellen, their coach, said they performed ìthe best theyíve ever done.î†It was a two-day competition with twirlers from the central region of the United States, which included Arkansas, Colorado, Kansas, Louisiana, Missouri, Nebraska, New Mexico, North Dakota, Oklahoma, South Dakota, Texas and Wyoming. The national trials were held in Ohio, and the team was unable to get there to compete.Kellen would like to thank the parents ó Suzie and LouieSantistevan and Becca and Kevin Koenke ó for their ìlove and supportî this season.
