El Paso County is seeking final public input on the 2040 Major Transportation Corridors Plan.The MTCP brings together transportation, land use, funding and community issues in one process to identify the future transportation needs of the county, the related costs and prioritizing projects for implementation. The plan distributes public transportation funds from taxes and fees into the countyís network of highways, arterials and rural roads. Long-term right-of-way needs will also be identified for each corridor to meet future expansion needs.The final public comment period is from Oct. 17 through Nov. 14. To review the final document and submit comments, visit http://epcroadplan.com. The plan is being presented to the El Paso County Highway Advisory Commission Oct. 19. The El Paso County Planning Commission will hear the plan in November.
