Tickets available for anti-bullying concert

Tickets are on sale for the Stand Up. Speak Out anti-bullying concert in†Falcon School District 49 scheduled for Aug. 17 at Security Service Field in Colorado Springs.Musical artists from around the country will join voices in Colorado Springs to promote a positive, safe and compassionate culture for students and families in El Paso County.Tickets are available at $15 at the Security Service Field box office and online:†http://tinyurl.com/D49StandUpSpeakOut. A discount rate of $13 is afforded to youth 12 years and under, seniors 55 years and older and military ID card holders.A diverse line up of six†musical†artists will perform, joining with national anti-bullying and educational organizations.†Speakers from Safe2Tell, Rachelís Challenge and Hey UGLY will compliment the band performances.Vertical Horizon,†an American†alternative rock†band, will headline the festivities. The concert lineup also includes The BottomLine, Taylor Watson, Devyn Rush, Brian Jarvis and Brendan James.The Stand Up. Speak Out. online apparel store is open and linked at d49.org, where individuals can purchase T-shirts and sweatshirts to show support for the event.This anti-bullying event is mostly funded through local and national sponsors and partnerships, along with ticket sales.
