On July 19, 20 and 21 the High Plains Twisters 9 and 10-year-old All Star Girls Little League softball team traveled to Aurora, Colo., for the Colorado Little League State Championships. The team advanced past the district level into state. This is the second year that softball has been offered to girls in Falcon, Peyton, Calhan and other southeastern locations.The High Plains Twisters advanced to the semifinals and took home a third place title. This is the first time that High Plains Little League has sent this level team to the state tournament.
