The Exchange Club of Falcon had a successful 16th Annual Falcon Craft Fair the weekend of Oct. 4. The fair is one of our major fundraising efforts to raise funds to give back to our partnering agencies. There were 95 vendors with a variety of goods at Falcon High School, along with plenty of shoppers.
We also collected non-perishable foods and winter clothing to hand out to the Eastern Plains Community Pantry and the D 49 Food Pantry.
The following agencies will be receiving funds from our event: Eastern Plains Community Pantry, D 49 Food Pantry, Kidpower and Safe Passage (child abuse prevention agencies), Mt. Carmel Veterans Service Center, Silver Key, Pikes Peak Hospice and the Bennett Ranch Elementary Arts program. We are honored to give back to these agencies as they support our four areas of interest: Child Abuse Prevention (our national project), Community Support, Americanism and Youth Programs. A huge thanks to our shoppers and vendors who helped make this event a success.
On Oct. 8, seniors from Falcon High School were awarded the Exchange Club’s “Accepting the Challenge of Excellence of the Month” and “Youth of the Month” for August and September. Every month through January 2026, the Exchange Club is getting names from the staff of seniors who might be good candidates for the ACE of the Year and Youth of the Year awards. The monthly winners will be competing for the annual awards with an essay contest and a score of their achievements in school. The annual award recipients will receive a $1,000 scholarship. The August and September award winners were Ashley Small, Isaac Domer, Iris Cantrell and Jonathan Jensen.
The Exchange Club is looking for people in the community interested in making lap blankets for veterans at Pikes Peak Hospice. Kelly LeRoy recently donated red, white and blue lap blankets for Pikes Peak Hospice. If anyone else is interested in making red, white and blue lap blankets, please contact Theresa Koveleski at 719-684-4139.
It is that time of year for the “Exchange of Joy” giving-tree program. Trees with gift tags will be set up at several locations in Falcon (Walmart, The State Bank, Farmers State Bank of Falcon, the High Prairie Library, and Antler Creek Golf Course). Another will be set up at the Chapel Hills Mall. The trees are decorated with gift tags for toys or gift cards for foster and under-privileged children in El Paso County. The trees will be placed around Nov. 17. Please help with giving these children an awesome Christmas.

Ninety-five vendors showed up for the Falcon Craft Fair the weekend of Oct. 4 and Oct. 5.
