The Calhan Lions Club honored Sari Little as the May Student of the Month at the May 6 meeting. She is the daughter of Hal and Beverly Little. Sari is a senior at Peyton High School and plans to attend the University of Northern Colorado in the fall where she will pursue studies that will prepare her for a career in sports journalism and broadcasting. She also plans to run for the UNC track team.Ross Eberhart was inducted into the Calhan Lions Club by District Governor Monty Whitney and welcomed as a new member. Eberhart was sponsored by Lion Toni Gibbons. Lion Carl Finney presided over the May 6 dinner meeting in the absence of President Jim Nile. Pam Gotschall announced that the Calhan Lions Picnic will be held on June 3 at 6:30 p.m. at the Pikes Peak Community Action Agency, 450 Colorado Avenue, Calhan.
