The first of nine free summer concerts hosted by First & Main Town Center was scheduled for June 6, with the Motown sounds of Phat Daddy & Phat Horn Doctors.The concert series’ kick off (unless it rained) featured food samples from local restaurants, giveaways and entertainment for children, including face painting and a magician.”This event has become a mainstay for the east side of Colorado Springs,” said Cayse Osterlund, senior general manager of First & Main Town Center.The summer concerts and the entertainment will continue every Friday night from 5 to 7 p.m. through Aug. 15.
