Studio Ivy Hair and Nails opened in February in Suite 170 at Falcon Town Center, offering a full range of hair services. Imelda Vuthi, owner, said the salon has six stylists, including herself.
Vuthi said the majority of the salon’s stylists have more than 20 years of experience and one has been in the Falcon/Peyton area for about 16 years. Vuthi said, “They are very qualified hair stylists. We have one younger stylist who has been mentored by us. We also have a Spanish-speaking stylist.” Vuthi has been a stylist since 2002 and has worked in the Falcon area for 10 years.
Some of the services offered are cuts for both men and women, perms, updos, highlights, color, base retouch, waxing and brow-tinting services. There are two stylists certified in extensions. Vuthi said the level of experience their stylists can offer in all areas of hair services is one of their strengths. “We also think the overall experience of the customer is everything,” Vuthi said. “We have a friendly staff, and the shop is new and clean — for us, that’s important.”
Vuthi said part of the customer experience is being in a friendly atmosphere. “We are very involved with our clients,” she said. “We provide a personal touch and build friendships with them as well. We have many long-time customers.”
The salon will be offering nail services in the near future. “We are looking for the right nail tech,” Vuthi said.
Studio Ivy Hair and Nails is open Monday through Saturday at 7685 McLaughlin Road.
