The actors and actresses starring in ìBeauty and the Beast,î this yearís Falcon High School musical, worked hard and practiced every day Monday through Friday. They did everything from building props to rehearsing their lines.Opening night was Thursday, April 26; however, they had to cancel an earlier dress rehearsal because of a spring snow storm that hit April 24, which left everyone slightly panicked. ìI was so nervous, our opening night was basically our only dress rehearsalî said Dana Smith, who played Belle.No worries, however, the show went on with four grand performances.The musical was supervised by choir teacher Maria Green, assisted by many volunteers, including Angelina Kincaid, another teacher at Falcon High School, and Sandy Smith, who helped raise funds for the event.ìEverything has been awesome, said Blake Mahaffey. ìI really loved playing Lumiere; the French accent is always fun. It was tough though because we didnít have an official dress rehearsal.
