In eight days of county fair festivities, a new outdoor pavilion was dedicated, more than 750 children were bussed from Colorado Springs to Calhan to enjoy the fair and a sellout crowd attended the demolition derby. The activities drew a total of 22,550 fair-goers and generated $245,353 in revenue, about 11 percent over projections.
