El Paso County Fair and Events Complex General Manager, Jim Abendschan, of Black Forest, was surprised when he received the fair industry’s highest honor – the 2004 Rocky Mountain Fair Association’s Fair Manager of the Year.Abendschan was presented with a belt buckle at the 79th Annual Rocky Mountain Association of Fairs Conference at the World Arena Doubletree Hotel.”This recognition is really due to everyone who helps put this event together,” said Abendschan, “I really appreciate the honor which reflects on everyone who works for the success of this fair, from volunteers, to staff to sponsors and supporters. This means so much.”
