Meridian Ranch Recreation Center is inviting community members to an open house Aug. 13, from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., to showcase the centerís new older adult fitness program ñ Healthways SilverSneakers Fitness Program. A free sample SilverSneakers Classic class will be held at 11 a.m.Meridian Ranch Recreation Center is partnering with the nationally recognized SilverSneakers Fitness Program to offer an exercise program designed exclusively for older adults. ìWeíre delighted to be selected as a SilverSneakers location,î said Marti Wallner, director of the Meridian Ranch Recreation Center. ìOne of the goals of Meridian Ranch Recreation Center is to provide our community with a variety of fitness opportunities for all age groups.îMore than 10 million people are eligible for the SilverSneakers benefit through the nationís leading Medicare health plans, Medicare supplement carriers and group retiree plans.
