Official daily night lighting hours begin for the summer on May 14. A special lighting will be available throughout Mother’s Day weekend.In celebration of Mother’s Day, from Fri., May 6 through Sun., May 8, from 9 a.m. to 9:30 p.m., all mothers who visit Seven Falls can do so at half price. All visitors will be captivated by the night lighting programs, which include varying colors continually cascading down the falls.Seven Falls, Colorado’s only waterfall to be listed in the National Geographic’s “List of International Waterfalls,” was originally illuminated in 1947 and is known as the “only fully lit canyon in the world.”Seven Falls opened as a tourist attraction in 1881 and is like nothing else in the world, nestled deep within the Cheyenne Canyon. Cascades begin at 181 feet above the valley floor and fall in seven distinct steps down a solid cliff of Pikes Peak granite. The 224-stairs beside the falls access trails that take the adventurous to hidden falls and to a view that sweeps the plains. The Seven Falls viewing platform is handicap accessible via the In-Mountain Elevator.
