Paint Brush Hills Metropolitan District and Woodmen Hills Metropolitan District announced they have reached a settlement ending two years of litigation of the use, operation, management and construction of the Paint Brush Hills Wastewater Treatment Facility.Under the terms of this settlement, both districts have agreed to dismiss all of their claims against the other district. Additionally, Woodmen Hills, the current operator of the facility, will take over full ownership of the facility. Paint Brush Hills will become a customer of Woodmen Hills, with Paint Brush Hills’ residents receiving Woodmen Hills’ adjusted in-district rates. Woodmen Hills will also assume responsibility to address the Notice of Violation issued with respect to the facility by the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment in 2009.For further information, contact Woodmen Hills Metropolitan District at 719-495-2500 or Paint Brush Hills at 719-495-8188.
