Educational Opportunity Foundation scholarships are available to students who live in the Black Forest. Since 1965, the EOF has been giving scholarships to qualified students for educational opportunity, whether the student chooses college or trade school.†Last spring, EOF awarded eight $1,500 scholarships to local seniors.Applications are currently being accepted and are due March 5. Eligible applicants must live in the Black Forest.†A description of the eligible geographic area and procedures to apply are on the Web site at http://eof.blackforest-co.com.†Applications are available for download from the Web site. Application packets can also be obtained at the EOF office, 11340 Black Forest Road (Andy Taylor Farmer’s Insurance building), or from the counselors at Falcon High School, Pine Creek High School or Lewis Palmer High School.An open house will be held Jan. 23 at the EOF office from 6:30 ñ 9 p.m.†Pizza and refreshments will be served for parents and students who want to learn more about the scholarships and the application process.†EOF board members will be present and look forward to visiting with prospective applicants and their parents.For more†information, call Nancy Billiard at 495-0292.
