A solar company is chomping at the bit to locate a manufacturing facility in Fountain; and a truck engine manufacturer wants to open a factory in Colorado Springs to build state-of-the-art diesel engines. Both could be a boost to the area economy.The Food and Drug Administration may issue a new requirement that food manufacturers update their product labels as of Jan. 1, 2010. Each label would contain a picture indicating where the fat contained in their product will accumulate on the consumer’s body. This requirement is meant to help consumers better understand the effect on their physical appearance that consuming each product will have.
