We’re afraid this is true – Mary Gin is selling or has sold the Rock Island Restaurant. When Mary is leaving remains unknown, but we’ll catch her next month and give her a proper send off. Mary’s husband is working in Montrose; thus, the reason we are losing her. Tough loss for Falcon.Which area business owner landed in jail on Feb. 23?It’s just Glen McIntosh, owner of Springs Promotionals. Something about stolen stocks and bonds – just kidding.Glen was a part of the Muscular Dystrophy Association’s fundraiser that calls for the arrest of various community leaders and business people. Before he could be released from “jail” from the Red, Hot & Blue Restaurant on Academy Boulevard, he had to raise $1,600. Do you think he is still there? As of this date, there is no proof of a Wal-Mart or a big hotel coming to Falcon. It was a long time before, and a lot more people, when Wal-Mart opened a store in Monument and started looking at Woodland Park.
