Rock Solid Chiropractic hosted its sixth annul 5K Walk/Run/Kid’s Dash and Business Expo July 16. Rock Solid’s Dr. Stephen Kutscher said the event started as a way to identify new patients and highlight a service-oriented community organization.Proceeds from the 5K race and business expo benefit High Plains Helping Hands food pantry. Kutscher said the event is his way to give back. “My family didn’t have much, and I have four older brothers, so my parents were working hard all the time,î Kutscher said. ìIt was organizations like High Plains Helping Hands that gave us Christmas dinners and gifts. ìThis year, the community really came together.îRunners and walkers participated in the morning run at Rock Island Park before the expo kicked off at 9 a.m. in the Walmart parking lot area in Falcon. About 38 local vendors were on site to market their businesses, and the El Paso County Sheriff’s department and the Falcon Fire Protection District were on site to present safety-related information to families.
