Kit Carson Riding Club at 6775 Cowpoke Road in Colorado Springs will be hosting the Mid-Mountain Regional Championships of the Extreme Cowboy Race on Sept. 17, 2011, starting at 9 a.m. The championship is a triple world point race, bringing in riders from near and far. There are six classes of events, with riders and equines of all ages and skill levels competing – from pro to young guns. Events are open to the general public.
