The Country Chix, a local chapter of the Red Hat Society, meets the second Tuesday of each month. Ladies of all ages are eligible to attend; however, there is a “dress code” for different ages. Women over age 50 wear red hats and purple clothing. The under-50 females wear pink hats and lavender clothes. Some of those adventures included visits to the Happy Apple Farm in Penrose, the Denver Botanical Gardens, the Fine Arts Center, the Cashel Farms Nursery in Simla, Cripple Creek and they enjoyed tea at Glen Erye and Miramont Castle in Manitou Springs.
