The Eastern Plains Chamber of Commerce and the Falcon Lions Club are combining efforts to host a MEGA recycling event July 16 at BIG R. The fundraiser is for the Homes for Our Troops project for Sgt. Jeffrey Adams and his family, recipients of a new home in Latigo Trails. Blue Star Recyclers is in charge of the electronic recycling portion, and other recyclables represented are tires, latex paint, florescent bulbs, lithium batteries and a mobile document shredding vendor as well. Fees will be charged for all items recycled as a way to raise funds.All net proceeds will be given to Homes for our Troops for the Adams project.
