Got questions about ground water? Protect Our Wells (POW) will host a booth at the Falcon Festival on Sat., July 3, from 8:30 am to 3:30 p.m. POW is a citizen advocacy group established to promote the unified interests of El Paso County residents who have private wells in the Denver Basin Aquifers. Other POW goals are to educate private well owners about Denver Basin groundwater issues, gather information about the status of the Denver Basin groundwater supplies and encourage its conservative use. If you would like to join POW, membership fees are $25 a year per household. Stop by the festival and find out what POW is doing to help conserve your groundwater.
