POW (Protect Our Wells), a group advocating for the private well owners, is holding a meeting at Woodmen Valley Chapel at 7 p.m. Monday, June 4. The topic is ground water, and the public is welcome.According to a POW news release, the number of septic systems that fail each year costs thousands of dollars and threatens ground water quality. Gary Hall of Colorado State University Cooperative Extension will present at the meeting. He’ll discuss the basic structure of the septic system, what it does, how it works and what you can do to protect ground water quality.
