Relocating to Falcon from New York, I looked forward to living in a nice little community as opposed to my apartment living in the “Big City.” What a disappointment when it came to light that the majority of my new little community must think so little of our fire department. The comments solicited by Commissioner Doug Bruce were lies and false information. Obviously, no one took the time to find out the true facts. (By the way, was he soliciting on his own time?) What a disgrace that the residents of Falcon would allow this man to smear the good name of our firefighters; and, I might add, the 35 who VOLUNTEER their time and their lives to protect us. How dare he dishonor the Badge of Courage they embrace so proudly. The words of our commissioner were simply DISGUSTING – and very hurtful. As far as the failed election, I certainly hope that it isn’t my home on fire one day when our firefighters are busy servicing the other end of the district!Vicky Chevalier
