Owen Evinger is doing a lot more than just ìmailing it inî with his new Postal Annex franchise in Falcon. The former marine expects that plenty of shipping options, private mailbox rental and other services will make his new business a key feature of Falcon.ìAfter I got out of the marine corps, I got into high-tech manufacturing for about 18 years, and that’s what brought me to the Colorado Springs area,î Evinger said. ìI wanted to open something for myself, and found the Postal Annex franchise.îThe store is Evinger’s first foray into the retail world, but he thinks his varied offerings are needed in the community. ìWe were investigating a good location to be in, and Falcon was very high on my list,î Evinger said. ìThe company agreed since it’s an up-and-coming area, and that’s how we got to be where we’re at.îThe company will offer more goods and services than most people would expect from the mailing supply industry. ìWe’re a pack and ship, but we also do printing, computer repair, private mailbox rental, office supplies and a few gift items,î Evinger said. ìWe also do key cutting, notary, passport photos, shredding and a little bit of everything.îUnlike similar stores owned by or branded with the major shipping firms, Postal Annex can provide services from most of the major logistics companies. ìThe big thing is variety,î Evinger said. ìWe offer shipping with USPS, DHL, FedEx and UPS. You come in here, and you can choose from prices and services from all of those carriers. We also hope that we will provide services those other places can’t provide. You’ll find stuff here that you won’t find elsewhere.îPostal Annex is located at 7661 McLaughlin Road just east of Safeway. They can be reached at 719-886-7447.
