He is a Chihuahua mix and about 2 or 3 years old. Bert is shy but very sweet. He gets along well with older children. He also gets along well with other dogs but we are not sure how much Bert likes cats.He does well on the leash but needs a little more work in that area. Bert rides well in the car. He has a cute overbite. Bert lived in a place with many other dogs, and since there were so many other dogs he was pretty much lost in the crowd. He never received much attention there and never knew how nice it was to be pet. Bert has been living at a foster home and is learning how much he likes to be with people and how much he loves attention! It has taken time for Bert to understand people and for people to understand how alone he has been. Bert will need extra attention and an extra patient, loving family. He needs his forever home.If you are interested in adopting Bert into your heart and home, call SAINT Animal Rescue in Calhan. Our phone number is 719-541-3099.It is always a challenge when adopting a new pet. SAINT Animal Rescue asks the adopter to give the animal a reasonable amount of time to adjust to its new family and environment. This is important to your new family member as well as your existing family members. Visit our Web site at saintanimalrescue.org, and as always thank you for caring. If you can’t decide between a shepherd, a setter, or a poodle, get them all … adopt a mutt!
