A mother tiger lost a litter of three cubs shortly after they were born prematurely. The tiger mom became ill, and veterinarians determined the cause was depression.There were no other tiger cubs across the country that needed a mom, but there was a litter of orphaned pigs. The clever veterinarians wrapped the tiny pigs in tiger “skin” and tried something that has never before been done in a zoo environment. It worked – mom and tiger-piglets were doing fine when these photos were taken.
