Interested candidates will have a 30-day period to submit a letter of intent.During the posting period, the district will assemble an interview committee, consisting of two board members, one fire officer (a higher ranking firefighter) and two firefighters, to oversee the selection process for the new chief. Volunteer firefighters and the board will concur on the people chosen for the committee. The committee will collect and review all applications, schedule interviews with qualified candidates and decide on the best candidate. The board of directors will review the committee’s recommendation and make a final decision. The next board meeting is scheduled July 12 at 6:30 p.m.
