February update: Casper was adopted; Gypsy & Duchess are still available. We have two adorable 5-month-old old puppies, Smokey (blonde) and Bandit. They both came from Kansas on Jan. 24. On Jan. 25, Smokey was very sick ó both were taken to the emergency room and they were diagnosed with distemper, canine flu, bordetella; plus a few other infections. Smokey was in the ER for four days. Itís a miracle Smokey survived. Both have recovered and will soon be available for adoption; they need to gain a bit of weight.Their treatment was very costly, around $7,000. If you would like to donate to help us out, please go to PYRescue.org; no amount is too small and is greatly appreciated.Obi is a 2-year-old male. Obi can be a little insecure about meeting new people, but he is a sweet boy once he gets to know you. He knows basic commands: sit, stay, down and shake. He loves belly rubs and treats. He can be picky about his doggie friends. Obi walks well on a leash and likes to go for walks. To see the complete list of dogs available for adoption, please visit https://pyrescue.org and fill out an adoption application. If you canít adopt right now, there are many ways you can help by either volunteering, sponsoring a dog and/or donating. Forms and links can be found at https://pyrescue.org.†
