After two years of dedication and hard work, Bill Sinclair graduated from Charis Bible College May 19. Sinclair, an advertising representative with The New Falcon Herald, received a degree in biblical studies. He has also received his ministerial license issued by the state of Colorado. The graduation ceremony took place at Charis Christian Center in Colorado Springs, which is adjacent to Charis Bible College.Originally named Colorado Bible College, Charis Bible College was founded in 1994 by Andrew Wommack. Charis graduated its first class of 33 people in 1996. Sinclair was among 190 students graduating this year. The two-year program ran four hours a day, five days a week, 10 weeks at a time for a total of 600 hours, Sinclair said.ìMy wife, Trish was my motivation,î he said. ìShe started a year ahead of me so she graduated a year before me. By hearing her talk about it for the first nine months, it inspired me and I got more and more interested and thought that it was something I would like to do.îThe program is structured into two sections: Bible studies and practical applications of the Bible, Sinclair said. As part of the practical applications section, Sinclair said he and the other second-year students had to spend at least a week in a Third World country doing missionary work.ìI got to spend nine days in BogÛta, Colombia, with 13 other students,î he said. ìIt was incredible.îSinclair said he and his wife have already organized a church in Woodland Park, Colo., called Living Streams. They currently offer services on Sunday mornings at the Woodland Park campus of the Colorado Springs Christian School.Editorís Note: Bill Sinclair remains on the advertising sales staff of the NFH, specializing in corporate accounts. Congratulations, Bill, on this great accomplishment!
