Located at 6770 Fox Trot Lane, Suite B, the Ponderosa Veterinary Clinic is a complete small animal veterinary clinic, said Dr. Rick Coufal, owner. The clinic provides wellness exams, vaccinations, spaying and neutering and other abdominal surgeries, such as the removal of mass or foreign bodies, cesarean sections and splenectomies, he said.Coufal, a native of Colorado, has been working in the Black Forest area for 15 years. He and his family moved to Black Forest from Colorado Springs in 2012 and wanted to find a way to serve the local community, Coufal said. ìIt has always been a dream of mine to have my own clinic,î he said. ìWe decided it was time to do it.îThe clinicís hours of operation are Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday, from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Wednesdays and Saturdays, from 8 a.m. to noon. Coufal said additional hours might be added in the future.ìPonderosa Veterinary Clinic is a small animal clinic serving our community,î Coufal said. ìWe have full in-house blood work capabilities, in-house digital X-rays. We are family owned, locally owned and offer sensible and thoughtful health care for pets.î
