David Stark, Falcon School District 49 board member, resigned his position as president at the June 12 board meeting. However, Stark will remain a member of the board and fulfill the remainder of his term. Stark said he resigned from president of the board because his work as a military contractor frequently takes him overseas for extended periods of time.The board held elections for new positions at the June 25 board meeting. Anna Bartha will serve as president, Kent Clawson as secretary and David Stark as treasurer. David Martin remains as vice president.The board is in the process of filling the vacancy left by Amy McClelland when she resigned last month. The board will interview prospective candidates at a public meeting July 10 and will name a new board member on July 14.
