Craig Williams chose KTM as part of his business name ó KTM Arms Gun & Ammo LLC ó because the acronym is the initials of his younger childrenís first names. ìCraigís nature is his family so when I saw the KTM on our business license, it warmed my heart,î said his wife, April Williams.KTM Arms Gun & Ammo LLC opened its doors March 25 at 7111 McLaughlin Road in Falcon. They chose Falcon because they have lived in the area about 20 months. ìI am a native of Colorado, and Craig is from New York and military service brought him to Colorado in 2000,î Williams said.ìCraig has an entrepreneurial mindset with a background in retail and customer relations,î she said. Her husband is a veteran and has been in law enforcement. Williams said his passion for building automatic rifles and glock-style pistols has contributed to his knowledge of guns, ammo, accessories and more, which they sell in their store.Williams said they consider themselves a ìMom & Popî store with two to three employees. Currently, the couple runs the store, and their oldest daughter occasionally helps them out.ìAt KTM Arms, you are not a number, we value our customers and the relationships that have formed in the short time we have been open. Ö If there is something we don’t have that you’re looking for, let’s talk about it and see if we can help you out,î she said. †Williams said they are learning more about the Falcon/Peyton community every day. ìWe look forward to getting out and serving more in the community,î she said. They also support various charitable organizations. Williams said a portion of their proceeds will be donated to St. Jude.They are thinking about hosting a monthly social for gun enthusiasts, collectors and other interested parties.The grand opening is scheduled for Sept. 17 ó more information to follow.On a personal side, the Williams are a family of six ó their oldest is graduating with a masterís degree in May; their 16-year-old will be a senior next year and their 14-year-old will start his first year of high school next August. ìWe also have an 18-month-old who is a blessing and keeps us young,î Williams said.For more information, call 719-495-5834.
