A Colorado Springs organization, Food for All Nations, is offering food boxes at a discounted price for the holidays. There is no qualifying nor limits on the number of food boxes that can be purchased. One box of food for $36 feeds a family of four for about one week. The average grocery store cost for the same food is $50 to $60. Food boxes can be purchased for personal use or to give to others.The December box includes the following:
- Bone-in ham or roaster chicken
- 3 lbs. yellow onions
- 5 lbs. potatoes
- 2 lbs. green beans
- 1 lbs. yellow corn
- 20 oz. candied yams
- 1 lb. frozen cranberries
- 1 stuffing mix
- 1 gravy mix
- 1 dozen rolls
- 1 pumpkin pie
