Construction on the new Falcon Fire Protection District station has begun. FFPD Fire Chief Trent Harwig said the building should be completed by the end of February 2010.The 13,500-square-foot building will cost $1.6 million and feature four drive-thru bays and hold up to six fire and emergency vehicles, Harwig said.The station will serve as the primary staffed station. The building can house up to 12 people and includes gender-separated living quarters, a kitchen and a fitness and weight room.Harwig said administrative offices will remain at the main station at Interstate Highway 24.
