Elections were held in November for one board member each in District 1 and District 4 of El Paso County School District 49.
Board of Education election results:
In District 4, incumbent and current BOE president, Lori Thompson, ran against Chris Harrell and won by a margin of 60 votes out of a total of 4,368 votes.
In District 1, incumbent Jamilynn D’Avola ran against Holly Withers and former BOE member Ivy Liu. Withers won the seat by a slim margin of 17 votes. Liu received 14.21% of the 5,207 total votes.
Withers was scheduled to be sworn in at the regular BOE meeting on Dec. 4.
