New church meets in Falcon

Meridian Bible Church kicked off its first year sponsoring AWANA clubs in September. AWANA is “an international youth ministry training children of all ages in the Gospel of Christ,” according to the church flier.The AWANA clubs are open to children in kindergarten through sixth grade and meets on Thursdays at 6:30 p.m. at Meridian Ranch Elementary School at 10480 Rainbow Bridge Dr. in Falcon.Meridian Bible Church also held its first Sunday services on Sept. 11. Grace Bible Church of Colorado Springs started the new church and is providing the leadership at this time. Pastor Al Albano of Meridian Bible said Grace Bible and Meridian Bible are affiliated with Independent Fundamental Churches of America International (IFCA), “a non-denominational fellowship of churches committed to spreading the gospel of Jesus Christ.” He also said the churches are “conservative in our theology, holding to the historic orthodox doctrines of the Christian faith, and teaching the Bible alone as our faith and practice.”Meridian Bible will hold services Sunday evenings at 6 p.m. at Meridian Ranch Elementary School.
