The Michael Lordino Agency opened July 1 in the Safeway shopping center in Suite 120. Lordino is an Allstate agent, and new to the insurance business.He spent more than 20 years as a retail executive for Sears, and decided to make a change. ìI was tired of the corporate ladder world, and I wanted to run my own business,î he said. His retail job also meant plenty of travel, and Lordino said he wanted to spend more time with his wife and two young children.Last fall, the family moved from Seattle to Colorado; however, they arenít new to Colorado. Lordino spent 12 years in Larkspur before moving to the Northwest. He said he and his wife are looking for a house between Monument and Falcon. He has a daughter in District 38.Allstate Insurance is involved in their communities, and sponsors the Allstate Foundation Purple Purse. According to its website, ìAllstate Foundation Purple Purse is dedicated to breaking the cycle of domestic violence through financial empowerment.î Tennis great Serena Williams is the spokeswoman for the foundation. Lordino has joined the Eastern Plains Chamber of Commerce, and is currently firming up plans for his own involvement to support the community.The Lordino familyís leisure activities include camping, skiing and hiking and ATV.
