Network assistance for businesses

Business owners in the Falcon area now have a local Internet guru to help with network engineering and integration problems. Jason Madsen, owner and principle consultant of MHQ Networks LLC, officially set up shop in his home in July 2011.Madsen and his family moved to Falcon about four years ago from Alaska. He was working for Boeing Co.; and, when he had the opportunity to relocate to Colorado, Madsen and his family planned a house hunting trip. “We liked the (Falcon) area because it’s outside the city but close enough to work,” Madsen said. “It’s quiet.”Although he still works a full-time job, Madsen said he plans to work part-time with MHQ Networks until he can transition to full-time. “It’s a lot different than my day job,” he said. “It takes me quite a bit of hours to set up something, go out and meet with prospective clients and figure out their needs. I do like the flexibility that I can set my own schedule a little bit.”MHQ Networks offers a variety of services, but Madsen said they are mainly focused on working with military installations, government schools, businesses, medical facilities and organizations with multiple sites that need secure means of communication. As a Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert engineer, Madsen can provide LAN (local area network), wide area network, network security and voice over Internet protocol (VoIP) and network engineering and integration. Madsen offers services such as routing, switching, designing and configuring. After serving in the United States Army for 10 years, Madsen sustained injuries that led to his retirement. MHQ Networks is a military Service Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business.
