Since its inception 37 years ago, the Black Forest AARP Chapter # 1100 has participated in food drives for the Black Forest Community. This year, the drive will coincide with the Sept. 11, National Day of Service and Remembrance. The local organizations listed below are partnering with the AARP Chapter to collect nonperishable food with a current usage date. The food can be dropped off at the following merchant and organization locations from Sept. 7-14:Black Forest Fire & Rescue, Paws N Tails Hydrotherapy Pool, Black Forest Jeweler, Forest Financial & Accounting Services LLC, R & R Coffee & CafÈ, Rockin’ B Feed, Liberty Flooring, The Black Forest Store & Ponderosa Market, Lone Pine Properties, Nizhomi Health Center, Tri-Lakes PrintingCash donations will also be accepted at most of these locations.For more information, please call 495-2176 or 596-6787.
