The Buffalo Grass Acoustic Society is a nonprofit organization formed in November 2002 to bring music to the eastern plains – Peyton, Calhan and Falcon. Today, the group draws audiences from other areas like Woodland Park, Pueblo and Greeley.The Buffalo Grass society is a sister organization of the Black Rose Acoustic Society. The Buffalo Grass group follows the same format, offering great family entertainment at affordable prices. The group brings in great musicians on an open stage, presenting a feature act on the third Friday of each month.The show begins at 7 p.m. and for those who play an instrument, there is an open jam session from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. The Cowboy Church of Peyton is the site of the music fest.
