Movin’ on up …

“When I Was a Kid” is a nostalgia addict’s delight. The store features vintage comic books and sports memorabilia. When it opened in 2007, it occupied a small space at the end of the Safeway complex in Falcon. Recently, the owners, Jamie and Vickie Michaels, moved the store to the site formerly occupied by Pack n’ Ship. Vickie said they have more room and can display their stock more effectively.Another store that has moved and expanded is Equiline, which moved from its Black Forest and Burgess roads location to the Silver Office Park on Black Forest Road north of Vollmer Road. Owner Mary Watson said, “Although we only have an additional 500 square feet, the arrangement is much better, with separate rooms for saddles, boots and clothing. We are still getting restocked, but our customers found us quickly. They really like the new facility.”The store offers consignment sales of all sorts of equestrian gear plus medications and supplements for horses.
