The Mountain Springs Church at 7345 E. Woodmen Road, just east of Black Forest Road, is hosting a fall festival on Halloween – Oct. 31. Scotty Vaughn, a square dance caller from the Colorado Wranglers, will be there, along with a magician and carnival booths, a petting zoo and a bounce house – plentiful candy treats will be available as well.Famous Dave’s BBQ will provide the dinner meal.The event brought in 2,000 people last year, and, with a brand, new building, the church hopes to double that figure this year.The actual festival is from 6 p.m. to 9, but the church is sponsoring a special hour from 4:45 p.m. to 5:45 for people with special needs – anyone unable to get around in large crowds. Everyone is welcome.
