The Falcon/Peyton Small Area Master Plan Advisory Committee began its internal review of the draft plan in May, but progress has been slow.At the May 28 meeting, Aaron Briggs, HB&A consultant, said, “The plan is not ‘fully cooked’ and that’s making the plan hard to review. I don’t want to have gone this far and rush it at the end. It would be too bad to have invested this amount of time and then not be satisfied with what we produce.”The committee agreed to alter the schedule and allow more time to complete the plan. The new schedule calls for public review of the draft from July 2 to July 30. The plan will be available to the public for review at www.hbaa.com/Falcon-Peyton-MP.The committee expects to introduce the plan to the El Paso County Planning Commission on July 15, and the commission is scheduled to adopt the plan on Aug. 5.The advisory committee’s next meeting is June 25 at 3 p.m. at the Pikes Peak Regional Building Department in Colorado Springs. The public is invited to attend.
